Race
Round Details
Cory and Kelly have set up a great track this year with a new approach, the Starting line will be at the far South end by the pump jack this will enable us not to have to cross the road with the minis. Making congestion a lot more tolerable than in the past. Camping will be in the normal area including the old starting area. To my knowledge there are very few camping areas in the vicinity of the scoring trailer. There will be a concession stand at Wellston serving burgers and hotdogs and cold drinks.
Well unfortunately, this race turned out to be the dustiest yet. In spots, the dust was so thick and hanging that people could not follow the trail. We hate to say it, but all of the conditions came together to make this an unpopular race. This is quite unfortunate as the track as the potential to be very fun with a variety of terrain to race through. Hopefully, if OCCRA returns here in coming years, the weather will cooperate so that members can enjoy the nice cross country terrain.
