Hot and dry conditions continue across Oklahoma so be sure to hydrate in the week leading up to this race. The course will be approximately nine miles, and will have - you guessed it - lots of rocks. With such dry conditions, you can expect the creek crossings to be extremely low or non-existant.
Park rangers have reported several rattlesnake sightings, so avoid wood and rock piles and be generally aware of your surroundings.
The starting line will be farther to the front near the RV pads.
The mini track will cross the main road, so be sure to respect the officials and watch out for minis.
As expected, Davis was a hot, dry and dusty race. The dirt was loose on hills, but the creek crossings were also easy since they were dry.
Helmets are required for persons under 18. This rule, along with pit speed, will be enforced by both officers and park rangers!
