2018 Rd 08 at Red Rock XC

Further information about this new location coming soon.

Who’s ready to go racing?!?! Round 8 at Red Rock XC in Hinton, OK is just 2 weeks away. Special thanks to The Key Team for their sponsorship this round. As with each round, the sponsor makes it possible for awards to be given to the top 3 finishers in each round, and that is over 150 awards. Thank you for the support.

As many of you know, Red Rock XC is a brand new location for us, and we are privileged to be the first ones ever to cut trail and race this property. Last I heard, we are hoping for long course to be around 7 miles. This is a very cool piece of property, and has lots of elevation changes, thick wooded areas, and I hear we may be racing in and through a large canyon.

I will be working on the flyer and all other details this week, so look for another post with flyer by next weekend. Start getting those bikes and quads ready, and if you’re like me and haven’t rode all summer, you may want to start getting some cardio in. I added a poll for some fun. Let us know who’s race-ready, and who wishes they had a few more weeks of summer and prepping.

If anyone has any questions regarding this round, post them up and I’ll try to get them answered. On behalf of all officers, we are looking forward to seeing everyone soon and getting back to racing.

8/17 Update

Round 8 is 1 week away!!! I don’t know about you all, but I’ve missed seeing everyone and am looking forward to getting racing back underway.

Round 8 is an all new location, so special thanks to Shane Kimball for letting us race on his land. Also, Thanks to Kerri Helm at OKC Metro Real Estate-The “KEY” Team for sponsoring the awards for this round.

El Kiosko Café will be on site this round as our food vendor. They offer Caribbean and Mexican food, so be sure to check them out and show them our support.

This round begins Temporary Membership opportunity for only $5. So if you know of anyone who has been interested in trying out OCCRA, or you yourself are reading this but have never raced, you can now come out and experience it a little easier. The $5 temporary membership is good to race 1 round, so invite someone new this fall.

Saturday evening Emily J. Cohlmia and E.J. Images will be sponsoring Dirt Bike Limbo. Entry is $1 and it will take place at 6:30pm. Prizes will be awarded.

One additional bit of info to pass on is in regards to parking. I have been informed that pit areas may be a little cramped, so we are asking for everyone to please be courteous and take up limited space at your camping area. We want everyone to have room to park their campers and trailers, so please avoid parking in large circles or squares in order to save some space. I’d even suggest everyone work to park lined up, if possible.
