Talihina Grand Prix - Talihina, OK

OCCRA and many of its members have had a dream for several years to create our own “Real” Grand Prix event. After several years of trying different venues, we have found an appropriate host with the City of Talihina, Oklahoma. This 120 year old town is nestled in the Kiamichi mountains of southeastern Oklahoma is a perfect setting for a true Grand Prix off road race.
We will start all three of our main races (A & B Big bike classes and Quads) in the middle of downtown Talihina on Main Street which resides between 100 year old buildings. We will race on city streets for about 1.4 miles and then enter the dirt section for another 4-5 miles before winding back up in town. The track will be about 5.5-6.5 miles and we will run each of the A, B, Quad race for 1.5 hours.
The terrain will consist of dirt, gravel, shale, water crossings, mud holes to in town items such as pavement, a table top, and small obstacle course. The entire track is being set up to be very spectator friendly and we are encouraging anyone and everyone to come out to enjoy this event.

Approx 180 miles From OKC: Take I-40 east to the Indian Nation Turnpike/McAlester exit (240A). Take the turnpike south for approx 35 miles to exit 70 (US-270/OK-1). Continue to follow OK-1 for approx 42 miles to OK-63. Follow OK-63 for approx 13.5 miles to Talihina City Limits. Signs in town will navigate you to the parking areas.

Approx 143 miles from Tulsa: Take US-75 south 49 miles and merge onto the Indian Nation Turnpike. Take the turnpike south for approx 35 miles to exit 70 (US-270/OK-1). Continue to follow OK-1 for approx 42 miles to OK-63. Follow OK-63 for approx 13.5 miles to Talihina City Limits. Signs in town will navigate you to the parking areas.

Approx 92 miles from Ft. Smith, AR: Take US-71 south for 20 miles to the US-71/AR-96 junction. Follow AR-96 for approx 24 miles to US-59 (AR-96 turns into OK-83). Turn right (north) on US-59 and follow for 3.5 miles to US-271. Follow US-271 for 36 miles to Talihina.

Approx 219 miles from Dallas, TX: Take US-75 north for 124 miles to Atoka, OK. Turn right (east) on Court St / OK-3. Follow OK-3 for 33 miles to US-271. Turn left (north) on US-271 and follow for 61 miles to Talihina
