Are you ready for a little added fun this season? We’re going to see who can build the strongest “team” of riders. What you’ll do is choose a team of six riders. Those six riders run their normal races and try to do the best they can (duh!). Then, when the race weekend is over, we take the best 5 of 6 class points (one rider’s points are dropped) and add them together for you round total. The top teams will be rewarded at the end of the season with awards and bragging rights!
Choose 6 riders from any class and any division. Bike, quad, mini, vintage – any points class qualifies.
We’ll add up the points of your best 5 of 6 team riders (lowest points get dropped).
Team points totals will be updated after each race weekend.
Top 30% of teams will get season awards.
Must sign up by round 3.
No substitutions. Your team is set for the season when your team competes in it’s first race.
Riders that race in more than one class earn points from the class they indicate on the race team challenge sign-up form. (one class)
Your race entry can only be used on one team. If you race two classes, you can be on two teams, but you must specify which class goes with which team when signing up. No changing afterwards.
$20 entry per team member ($120 per team) (pay dues at race registration table). One time entry fee (not per race).
How Crazy Do I Get?
That’s totally up to you!
You could get team graphics, team jerseys, banners, flags, secret handshake, pit together…get as crazy as you want! Most of all, we want you to have fun with this and to team up with riders from different divisions and classes and help each other have a successful season.
Can I have a Quad Team on My Race Team?
Yes, team quads are eligible too. The quad team as an entity counts as 1 team member on the 6 member race team. The quad team as a “team member” consists of the original two team quad team members. Races where a sub is used will be your drop race since substitutions are not allowed in this “race team challenge.”
Can I Be on Two Teams?
Yes, but ONLY if you race two different classes. Once class will count for one race team and the other class will count for the other race team. You have to specify the team counting when you sign up. You cannot use a single race entry on two different teams.
