- I love riding my quad and bike.
- It’s the only thing that keeps me in shape and healthy.
- I get to see everyone every other weekend and I always eat better at the race, lol.
My motto is, if you let off the gas for a second that’s what place you will come in.
We came into OCCRA in the year 2007. We did not know anybody……Dakota raced in the minis at the time. One day Russell said, “So that we can get to know people, we are going to meet 2 new people today……. and at every race we did that until now….. here we are!!” WOW!!
Russell became the “pit nazi” first, and then the Vice-President, and now we work together with the Minis/youth program and WOW!! What an awesome club to be a part of!! Thank you all for allowing us to serve in this capacity.
Russell began racing with OCCRA in 2007 and will be serving in his 7th season as an OCCRA officer. Russell and his wife Mary have been big supporters of the OCCRA mini program and vintage racing program.
Born and raised on a ranch in northeastern Oklahoma I found that in order to get anything done you need good equipment, a good horse and great friends. The same concept rolls over to Cross Country racing. Without a good machine you’re not going to get very far. I have been racing quads for 5 years and have learned that in order to succeed you not only need good equipment but you also need good friends and support at every turn. My number one sponsor is Jesus Christ.
I have served as the OCCRA Equipment Manager for a couple years, then as the Scoring Director, and now as the Sponsorship and Rules Coordinator. I enjoy giving back to a club that gives me happiness and sunshine.
