Sign UP for Fly/WPS Contingency

The 2017 Fly/WPS contingency form is now online in the “Series Info” menu.  This is a great program, that for many riders, will almost pay for your gear for the next race season.  Go to the link below and download the form…it has all the information you need about the program and we highly encourage you to read it all the way through so you know what gear to buy and how to submit the form.  Also, don’t forget that if you make any changes throughout the year (like class, etc.), then you need to update Fly so that your Fly Bucks aren’t affected!

Quad Division Class Placement

Hello quad racers.  As you all know, we did a speed evaluation of the bike long course classes and placed riders according to their speed.  Quinton, Drew, and Cole went through the same process for our long course ATV racers.  In this reorganization, the age-based classes were removed to distribute riders between open classes.  The reasoning behind this change is that the number of riders that compete in the quad division simply does not support the number of classes in that division.  However, the officers reserved the 400-499X range of numbers to leave the potential to re-introduce additional classes should the need arise the future for additional open classes or even reintroduction of age based classes.  So the long and short of it is, please bring your friends and let’s build the ATV racer numbers!  In the short term, the classes are designed to meet the same goals as the bike reorganization to increase competition.  If you haven’t read that article yet, please at least read the first part of it so that you know how we approached the realignment and what our reasoning and goals were. A and B Class Reorganization for 2017

OCCRA is excited to announce a class realignment affecting pretty much all riders that are racing in the A and B bike races. This was a ground up overhaul that used mathematical methods to rate each riders speed and then rank riders based on their speed to find much more suitable competition for everyone. The classes most affected are the expert level classes and all non-age based classes. We know there will be lots of questions so we have tried to summarize our strategy below. Let it just be known that we did not take this task lightly and we would not be doing it if we did not think it was to benefit of the club as a whole. I urge you to fully read through the details before you throw any harsh judgments.  There is a lot of information here, but please take the time to read through it.
